A Tale of 12+1 Warlords: Checkpoint 4 painted points results

It’s already been a month since the definitive Checkpoint 3 and the Warlords are probably suffering from painting hangover. The mid campaign milestone was a very tough one for most of them!

Checkpoint 4

As usual, let’s review the rules for the campaign to see where we stand now that we passed Checkpoint 3:

  • Each participant will share their progress monthly.
  • After 3 months, there will be an important date (15/08/2017), in which each warlord must show that they have painted at least 500 points. Those who failed in this task at the 3 month checkpoint will be eliminated from the challenge.
  • After 6 months (15/11/2017) each participant will have to demonstrate the painting of a complete list of 1,000 points. Only those who made it to the end of the campaign will be submitted to the ruling of the audience who will determine which warlord did the best job.

So it’s time for the fourth monthly update!

Order Alliance

Updates from the Order side? Not many… it’s important to note that now they are only 5 since Mr. X is gone now from the Tale. Mitico still rules with a lot of points painted but Mariano, Paloji, Volomir and Gryndal seem to suffer from the great hangover and are starting to fall behind schedule. Classic Order?

Chaos Alliance

Only Armando reports some progress at this point. Javi with the complete campaign finished is enjoying a good rest for the past two Checkpoints and Phobos is nowhere to be found… Checkpoint 3 was very hard on him!

Destruction Alliance

With Lucas being praised all over for his great Megaboss on Maw-Krusha, Norberto has decided to win by numbers and has done enough so he stays ahead of the Alliance based on this. Mommel on the other side is a bit jealous of Lucas’ great conversions and has given away the leadership of the Destruction boys. And Berek? Well… let’s just say Berek should be thankful that he was not eliminated…

Individual Ranking

It’s time to check now the individual ranking, based on points painted.

Still undefeated, Javi leads with those 1,000 points already completed in the second month.

Mitico remains as first runner up with more than 850 points painted even though he did not report any progress this month.

Huge hangover for pretty much everyone else in the Tale… Mariano, Nor Armando, Phobos, Mommel, Lucas, Paloji, Volomir and Berek seem to be resting for the final showdown at the end.

Gryndal is the last in the list, since he formally did not even make it to 500 and has reported no progress this month.

Despite this sad report, there are still some updates from the Warlords that deserve some visibility. Complete points or not, the guys are mostly getting ready for the big guns coming in shortly. It seems Lucas’ work has so far motivated many and depressed the rest…

Finally, one of the highlights of this Checkpoint 4 was the exhibit at the Fallen Angel 2017 in Madrid. Half of our Warlords managed to gather up and showcase their work live!

The armies looked amazing altogether in the table. This was a huge boost of morale for the participants, and has sprung the idea of maybe doing this again at the end of the campaign but with all the Warlords together. Would that be possible?

Stay tuned!
