This past weekend, the Spectrum awards ceremony was held in New York City.
Spectrum’s mission: “To promote the fantastic arts and provide an annual showcase for contemporary artists.”
For those of you who do not know about it, Spectrum is an annual publication that showcases the best in Fantasy art according to a panel of experts that selects the awards from entries received every year.
There is a category in the Spectrum book that covers fantasy sculptures in any form. They call it ‘Dimensional’.
This years winner of the Spectrum award in Dimensional category is Forest Rogers for this fantastic creation – The Morrigan:

We are very much familiar with Patrick Masson‘s entry, The Blind Death, which was showcased last year at Monte San Savino.
A wonderful piece of fantasy art that got Patrick a nomination to be amongst the best according to Spectrum. Congrats Patrick! Here’s some more close-up pics:
