Theo Jansen is the creator of kinetic beach creatures. All of the share the 13 ‘Sacred Numbers’. These indicate the length of their legs and define their characteristic way of walking. This process lasted 25 years, in which Theo selected and improved the legs of their creatures with a computer program in his ‘Atari’.
He is currently still creating new generations of these great beach walker creatures.
