A month has passed since we started the #killteam2020 challenge. This means we are halfway through the allocated time to build our Kill Team. For those new to this, a brief reminder:
Mission objective: 100 points of Kill Team (with at least 5 models).
Timeframe: 2 months.
Contenders: These dudes (plus those who joined us using #killteam2020 on their instagram):
So far: Let’s check out what they have accomplished.
We start with the victims of “the hype”:
Out of the 5, some has reported a bit of progress. But they are reporting a 0%, meaning we can’t justify showing anything of what they have done so far. Let’s put them here altogether for a bit of public humilliation (just a little bit).
Let’s directly dig into the juicy part:
We couldn’t expect less from Armando. He’s definitely going to make it!

Slowly but surely. The combination of Contrast paints is working quite well on these followers of Slaanesh:

Winter is possibly the safest bet in this challenge. Go for him, and you’ll bet getting 1.01€ on the 1€.

Lucas may very well create an amazing Kill Team, or release a couple new models for Spira Mirabilis. But beware, blink and they’ll be out of stock already.
Truly these space elves are looking good. Will he be able to finish at least those promised for the challenge? Will he go further than that?

Pablo is a true painting machine. He hasn’t made a lot of progress with his Kill TEam, but that is because he has been painting dozens of Space Marines in the meantime.

And he will probably have enough time to finish the challenge anyway.

Very few spotted the deception, despite leaving very evident clues in his starting posts of the challenge:
Alpha Legion, experts in infiltration, covert operations, misdirection and diversion tactics, have been disguised as Ultramarines… until today.
Ever since Primaris were released, I thought of ‘chaotizising’ a unit of Intercessors, and the #killteam2020 challenge was the best opportunity for this. Here is a little sneak peak of the conversion work:
I won’t be able to get them painted by the end of September, but I hope that at least the conversions are done, I will be more than satisfied with that (I don’t have a fixed spot for hobbying at the moment, and its been complicated to get time for it this summer).

And to finalize the quick review of the hateful 12, Santi shows us that he is very used to painting in batches:
