Blizzard Entertainment, the company behind major video game blockbusters of all time, is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary. To commemorate this incredible landmark in the gaming industry, the company has commissioned some of its greatest artists to create a massive statue of one the most iconic characters of the Warcraft saga: Arthas, the Lich King.
The sculpture is absolutely incredible and is now located in Calligraphy Greenway in Taichung, Taiwan. The video shows just how much talent and work has been put into its creation. It is also great to understand roughly the process of sculpting and casting in bronze, which as you can see is quite complicated.
I would love to see more statues like this one on cities all over the world. Characters like this one can give urban landscapes a lot of personality! And it would be cool as hell!
