Corvus Belli is without a doubt one of the main players in the miniature wargaming industry. Many consider the Spanish company as the next big thing, thanks to its wargame, Infinity, and it’s range of sci-fi miniatures of the highest quality, a true attraction for showcase painters.
Traditionally, the company’s main target has been wargamers. The miniatures, of exceptional design and quality, are painted beautifully by it’s lead box art painter, Ángel Giráldez. Corvus Belli is upping the stakes on the painting and hobby aspect of its business and has announced the first edition of the Infinity miniatures painting contest, Warcrow.
The first edition will take place in Vigo (Spain) during this year’s edition of the Interplanetario event.
Could this be the chance for Corvus Belli to organize a company contest like Games Workshop’s Golden Demon? Rules and categories are similar to the early GDs… Only time will tell…

Here’s some official information about the contest:
Warcrow Categories
These are the categories of the first edition of Warcrow:
- Small individual miniatures.
- Big individual miniatures and dioramas.
- Platoon (Group of at least three miniatures from the same army).
- Specialist Crow (the same miniature for all the participants established by the organization. This year: Achilles V2, commercial version or 10th anniversary).
Prize
- Ticket during Interplanetario: 10€
- Pre entry and up front payment: 8€
Organization and Rules
- The jury will be made of three renowned painters and Corvus Belli STAFF. The works will be rated by the following criteria: Color, technique, presentation, conversion level, creativity and setting work, for both the miniature and the scenic base.
- Each category will have gold, silver and bronze awards. The jury could erase any of the prizes or award more than one if it is considered appropriate.
- There will be a special award “Best of Show” to the best work among the awarded as gold among each category.
- There will be no maximum amount of works per participant or category. Each participant will only be able to obtain one prize per category.
- All the miniatures presented to the contest must be original or conversion work form the INFINITY brand. The organization keeps the right to not accept conversions with high percentage of components outside the INFINITY brand.
- The miniatures will be displayed since the opening until the prizes are delivered, so they will not be able to be used in the tournament.
- The Organization declines all responsibility for possible theft and damage of exhibited works, naturally the Organization will take its utmost care and integrity of the exhibited Works.
- The organization keeps the right to establish its own criteria in case of doubt with the contest rules. The participation in the contest implies compliance with this rules.
Miniatures Delivery
- FRIDAY: All day.
- SATURDAY 26th: Until 13:00hrs. 15:00 Winners announcement and Display.
Awards
- SUNDAY 27th: from 13:00hrs.The miniatures will be picked up once the prizes have been awarded.
