A Tale of 12+1 Warlords: Checkpoint 2 painted points results

Our deepest apologies! The 12+1 Warlords reached the second checkpoint on July 15, but real world work and trips have prevented us from updating the results from the campaign at the proper time. But as they say, better late than never! Here we go…

Checkpoint 2

Let’s review the rules for the campaign again:

  • Each participant will share their progress monthly.
  • After 3 months, there will be an important date (15/08/2017), in which each warlord must show that they have painted at least 500 points. Those who failed in this task at the 3 month checkpoint will be eliminated from the challenge.
  • After 6 months (15/11/2017) each participant will have to demonstrate the painting of a complete list of 1,000 points. Only those who made it to the end of the campaign will be submitted to the ruling of the audience who will determine which warlord did the best job.

The second month is gone now, so we have asked the Warlords to report their progress. This time we have not received that many pictures of their progress, but we will be posting a separate update per Alliance just to be consistent during the whole campaign. But before that, let’s see the points that each one has been able to fulfill. In theory, the Warlords that are complying with the deadlines are those that have completed at least 330 points (the red line that you will see marked in the bars).

Order Alliance

Remember the terrible performance of the Order Alliance in the last Checkpoint? Well it seems things are not looking that bad for them anymore. The Kharadron Overlords are starting to fly for Mitico and Paloji, while Gryndal and Mariano went full throttle to reach the Checkpoint’s goal, and even Volomir managed to put some paint on his elves. No new points from Mr.X though… Completely the opposite compared to the last Checkpoint! Things are getting very exciting in the Order Alliance at the verge of the Checkpoint 3 were the non-achievers will be eliminated!

Chaos Alliance

Chaos is running wild. With the MVW (Most Valuable Warlord) of the campaign Javi reporting a full point set at Checkpoint 2, Armando and Phobos also report great achievements. They stand, without a doubt, as the house where everything is possible! They face the decisive Checkpoint with very good prospects. However, let’s say out loud what everyone is thinking… quite possibly their painting standard may not be very remarkable… we’ll have to judge once they show pics… soon…

Destruction Alliance

House Destruction has decided to become the worst Alliance in this Checkpoint. Their previous reports weren’t very good either but with Order doing their homework, and Berek and Lucas reporting no progress, we see a very dark future for this Alliance. Only time (and paint) will tell…

Individual Ranking

It’s time to check now the individual ranking, based on points painted.

The points individual ranking is led, without any shadow of a doubt, by Javi, completing the 1,000 point goal in the second month. Did someone say something about cheating? ¬¬

Out of the 4 best performers, we find the entire House of Chaos. Armando, Javi and Phobos have done their duty and have good prospects for the next Checkpoint. Among them, Mariano from Alliance: Order. We bet they will get to the second 500 points stage without much difficulty.

Gryndal reports also good painting performance. He is the only one from the Order Alliance to report the necessary points as painted.

Now we get to the bottom part of the list, where the underachievers lie, and getting very close to Checkpoint 3, we fear for their continuity. Will Mommel, Nor, Mitico, Volomir, Mr.X and Paloji make it to the second phase?

Shame falls again on Berek and Lucas. At least Lucas had the decency of showing some pics of his awesome conversions in the last Checkpoint. But Berek…

They are the strongest candidates at this point to be eliminated from the campaign.

And just like last month, in the next few days we will also share with you pictures of the progress made by each Warlord .

Some of them have very interesting things to show us! We strongly need your opinions because remember that at the end of the campaign we will vote on the preferred Warlord of the audience. We must take into account both the progress level followed throughout the campaign and the painting standard of the minis achieved in the end.

Of course, that will only happen for the Warlords who manage to reach the end. And sadly it does not look very promising for half of them at the verge of the second Checkpoint…

Stay tuned!
